STUTTGART LINDE OPEN

The last balloon airborne, the finish team Olli Luoma and Ben Mattsson landed before sunset due to the risk to fly during the night in bad weather conditions. Their landing point: 48° 32.330′ N 12″ 53.050° E. See on Google Maps.

All balloons landed - only Fin Pearl OH-ENI is still flying.  Position near Dingolfing in Bavaria. They have to decide to land this evening, or to fly through the night. A difficult decision, because of bad weather coming. We will keep you informed.

They are fine, at 13.00 loc in an altitude of 8000 ft with a speed of 30 knots and a heading of 100°.

The fin pearl takes not part at the hare and hounds, it makes a distance flight.

The fox D-OSTZ landed before few minutes. We didn’t know at the moment the exact position, as soon as we know we will publish it.

Information from the fox balloon D-OSTZ (Comment by webmaster: I think in english this competition is called hare and hounds, but in Germany we chase a Fox). After the launch we climbed directly to FL 60. From the 12 hunters were 11 close to us. Our position is about 30 kilometers east of Schwäbisch Gmünd. Meanwhile we have a cup of coffee on board, and the airlinerns flying around of us have a lot of fun with the balloons - we hear by radiocommunication and from ATC Stuttgart Radar.
